In an interview with nflplayers.com, free agent RB Brian Westbrook stated he’d love to play for the Washington Redskins. When asked about being from the D.C. area and the possibility of playing with the Redskins, Westbrook responded, “Of course it would be special to play in your hometown, where you were born and raised and still live. Of course it would be special to be on a team with a winning tradition.”

Westbrook was asked if winning a Super Bowl is the only thing left on his list of accomplishments, he told the interviewer, ” I think that winning a Super Bowl is definitely one of those goals you want to accomplish during your career. I still feel like I can be a very productive running back in the NFL. So everything that I do now is going towards that.”

Westbrook has had a very productive career in the NFl but he’s been plagued with a variety of injuries as well. With a running back already containing Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker, it remains to be seen just how much Westbrook could contribute to the Redskins in 2010.

Newly acquired Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb has officially moved in. McNabb purchased a house in the Great Falls neighborhood. Last month, McNabb put his house Philly up for sale. It’s a 4-4 Colonial with a measly 4300 square feet of living area on nearly 11 acres for a cool 2.5 million.

McNabb moved in on Saturday using moving trucks which had Eagles logos and a slogan, the official Movers of the Philadelphia Eagles on the side. McNabb and family snagged a house for 2.1 million which includes 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. 7 bathrooms? Well I guess if you have 4 children that might be a good thing.

McNabb can’t wait to put roots down in the DC area. Said McNabb, “I’ve always been active in the community wherever I’ve lived, and I’m looking forward to continuing that tradition in the DC area. Buying a house and putting down roots is my first step toward doing all that, and I’m excited about what I’ve seen of my new neighborhood so far.”

Next up for McNabb? An invite to play basketball with President Obama. “Being here in DC, there’s only one thing I want to start by doing: Get an invite to play basketball with Obama and all his buddies.”

Embattled Washington Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth has found another problem for himself. A paternity suit. Silvia Mena claims that Haynesworth is the father of the baby she is now carrying. The stripper, uh, exotic dancer claims that the disgruntled player impregnated her during the Super Bowl in Miami last February.

Reports claim he was going to financially aid the stripper, uh, exotic dancer, but has failed to do so. Now, this is the part I love, god bless the blood suckers, uh, attorneys. Mena’s attorney Salvatore Stazullo said, “This man’s worth millions. She has had to apply for Medicaid to take care of the pregnancy.” Translation: I see lots of money and buckets of publicity for me!

If you’d like to see the stripper, uh, exotic dancer, click here, photos courtesy of CBS News. So it appears that Daniel Synder isn’t the only one Albert has screwed recently.

The Washington Redskins are certainly not having the quiet off season they had hoped for, maybe the NFL will decide to send the Hard Knocks film crew to the Redskins training facility this preseason instead of the Jets. With all the hoopla surrounding the signing of McNabb, the verbal sparring between him and former teammates, the 900 pound elephant in the room named Haynesworth it continues now with Santana Moss.

This story is the gift that just keeps on giving, the Washington Redskins versus Albert Haynesworth. The problems started last year when Haynesworth signed an ridiculous free agent contract and basically took the season off for the Redskins. But really, what did Washington think they were going to get from the 100 million dollar investment, a highly motivated, energized Haynesworth with a work ethic second to none? No, Haynesworth played his ass off in Tennessee to get that big fat contract and has already deposited 32 million of owner Dan Synder’s money.
