How one tweet ruined internship at NASA + UPDATE on this story

On Wednesday woman may have lost internship at NASA due to profane Tweet exchange with a member of NSC. We at least hope, she wasn’t aware of that she is tweeting with member of National Space Council.

Twitter user @NaomiH_official announced to the world her new job offer.

“EVERYONE SHUT THE F@?# UP, I GOT ACCEPTED FOR A NASA INTERNSHIP.” Wrote Naomi H.

And if she ended up there, she would probably got away with it, but when Homer Hickam, former NASA engineer saw this tweet, he only commented “Language”.

After that she followed it with even more profaned tweets. Even thought all of these tweets are deleted now, you can look at this screenshot.

Latest update on the story:

Day after the incident, Hickam said that he and Naomi H spoke privately about the whole situation and about her future with NASA
Hickam wrote following: “She reached out to me with an unnecessary aplogy which I heartily accepted and returned with my own,” Hickam also wrote. “After talking to her, I am certain she deserves a position in the aerospace industry and I am doing all I can to secure her one that will be better than she lost.”
Hickam also spoke with people who revoked her internship and made sure, that she will have no black mark on her record in NASA.
Also Naomi H switched her Twitter profile to a private account, which she should have done years ago.
